At Clayhem, your team gets to dive hands-on into clay!

The workshop is led by a skilled and experienced instructor who makes the experience easy and inspiring, even for complete beginners. No prior experience is needed. The atmosphere is relaxed, and everyone succeeds in their own way.

We work with hand-building techniques, which are ideal for a first introduction to clay. Wheel throwing is also possible for groups of up to 8 people.

Your finished pieces will be fired and glazed by Clayhem.

You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks, and the studio’s dishes and kitchen are at your disposal. You can also ask us for a catering offer.

Clayhem – a ceramics studio in Kallio

Clayhem is a ceramics studio founded in 2022 in the Kallio district of Helsinki. The vision of founder Emma Alftan is present in everything we do. Clayhem adapts to the maker’s needs, and ease of creating is at the heart of it all. At Clayhem, beginners can easily get excited about a new hobby in a spirit of experimentation.

Our modern and functional studio is the perfect space for an inspiring corporate event. You can host your own workshop, a celebration, or an energizing team day for your colleagues. The shared creative atmosphere becomes a lasting memory in the form of the pieces you get to take home. It’s well known that work stress melts away at the potter’s wheel.
